Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to collaborate with stakeholders on complex product and platform problems, define requirements and dependencies, create design documents, develop and optimize code, and guide engineering work. The role also serves as a Designated Responsible Individual for monitoring, incident response, and restoring degraded systems, while driving reliability, observability, and performance at scale. The position requires a computer science or engineering degree, 10+ years of professional development experience, expertise in C++, C#, big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and search technologies, familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services, security awareness, and the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, or government security screening requirements.
