Microsoft Frontier Company is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to build reliable, production-ready systems and services for complex customer organizations. The role owns end-to-end architecture and delivery for cloud and AI workloads, partners with customers and internal stakeholders, applies security and modern engineering practices, and leads technical direction and mentoring. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience; customer-facing solution delivery experience is also required. Preferred qualifications include AI and LLM experience, cloud AI platform familiarity, and travel up to 25%. The typical base pay range across the United Kingdom is £93,500 to £161,800 per year, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
