Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to define and drive the technical strategy for Copilot and Microsoft 365 Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) intelligence. The role will build scalable platforms that unify operational telemetry, product signals, infrastructure usage, and financial models; lead cross-organizational initiatives; influence architecture and engineering direction; and apply AI-native approaches such as agents and intelligent automation to improve cost, efficiency, reliability, and customer-value decisions. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, plus Microsoft Cloud background-check eligibility.
