Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Copilot evaluation team to set the technical direction and architecture for an AI-first, agent-first offline evaluation platform. The role owns trustworthy evaluation across Copilot’s model, retrieval, and scoring services; designs multi-turn, tool-selection, and end-to-end task evaluations; and leads reliability, observability, guardrails, and modernization for a platform serving growing enterprise-scale demand. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience, with security screening requirements and ongoing applications until the role is filled.
