Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Dataverse team to define and drive the architecture and technical strategy for globally distributed, AI-enabled customer experience services. The role owns critical platform components, applies applied AI and AI operations, leads complex distributed-systems implementation and troubleshooting, and provides technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering excellence across teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is accepted. The role requires Microsoft Cloud background screening and offers a U.S. base pay range of USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
