Description
Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer for its Azure Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) team to design, develop, operate, and own scalable, resilient, cloud-native infrastructure services. The role involves solving large-scale compute-platform challenges, delivering features end-to-end through agile development and continuous deployment, and improving scalability, availability, security, reliability, disaster recovery, and performance. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience; a master's degree and 8+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience are preferred. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 142,800–274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
