Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to architect and build foundational software infrastructure for large-scale AI accelerator platforms. The role spans distributed control-plane services, host and device management, accelerator virtualisation, Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure, resource and fault recovery, observability, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering practices. The engineer will collaborate across hardware, firmware, operating-system, cloud, and AI platform teams and mentor engineers while solving complex cross-layer system issues.
