Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to set the technical vision, architecture, and multi-release roadmap for the Security FinOps platform and experiences that support billing, cost management, and FinOps across Microsoft Security. The role leads complex cross-team systems, engineering strategy, reliability, scale, security, cost efficiency, standards, and AI adoption across the software development lifecycle, while mentoring senior engineers and influencing executive and cross-organizational decisions. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field with 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience, and offers a U.S. base pay range of USD $142,800 to $274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
