Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) team to lead the architecture and delivery of cloud infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence workloads. The role involves defining requirements, making complex distributed-system decisions, developing secure and performant software, establishing testing and automation practices, improving observability and operational readiness, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least six years of technical engineering experience with C++, C#, Go, or Java, or equivalent experience; production Kubernetes and cross-team cloud-service delivery experience are preferred. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
