Description
Microsoft’s Fabric Mirroring team is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and operate a next-generation service that transfers large volumes of data from source systems to Microsoft Fabric with minimal latency. The role leads code quality, debugging, architecture, testing, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment while owning complex data movement and replication solutions. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include extensive software engineering experience, large-scale service delivery, cross-team leadership, and expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, system architecture, performance and scalability, security and reliability engineering, and Azure technologies. The role offers a typical U.S. base pay range of USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
