Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Agent 365 Foundation team to set technical direction and own the architecture of containerized compute, networking, identity, isolation, APIs, and platform services supporting Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot agent workloads. The role leads multi-team platform investments, incident response, capacity planning, security, observability, and engineering quality, while mentoring senior and mid-level engineers. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is also accepted. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, extensive container and Azure experience, infrastructure-as-code expertise, large-scale observability, and generative AI infrastructure experience. The role offers a U.S. base pay range of USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
