Description

OnBoard is hiring a fully remote US-based Principal Software Engineer working EST hours to lead the design and development of scalable SaaS applications, including AI-powered and agentic experiences. The role combines principal-level technical leadership, mentoring, architecture, code quality, developer experience, and innovation with hands-on development using C# and .NET Core, RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud messaging and data lake technologies, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and AI/ML capabilities such as semantic search, vector databases, RAG, and LLM orchestration. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of SaaS development experience focused on user-facing production features
5-7 years of C# and .NET Core web application development
5+ years of RESTful design patterns and microservices architecture
Experience in high-transaction, high-security environments with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance
Technical leadership in software development projects
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI/ML areas such as semantic search, vector databases, RAG, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, or AI tooling
Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor
Developer experience tooling and scalable engineering enablement
Mentoring and coaching engineering team members
