Owl.co is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead technical strategy and architecture for an applied AI platform serving insurance claims. The role owns scalable, secure systems for large-scale unstructured data, integrates and maintains production AI and machine learning models, defines the technical roadmap, mentors engineers, and solves complex challenges involving latency, model inference, data pipelines, cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and regulated-industry software. The position is onsite five days per week in either New York City or Toronto and offers a salary range of $220,000 to $300,000 USD.
