Pantheon is hiring a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and help define engineering strategy and best practices across its collaborative web platform. The role is a high-leverage individual contributor who will shape architecture, make build-versus-buy and platform-boundary decisions, establish reliability and security standards, mentor senior engineers, and contribute hands-on code. It requires 14+ years of professional software engineering experience, a Principal Engineer or equivalent technical leadership track record, and expertise across distributed systems, APIs, production reliability, and engineering strategy. The position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a base salary of CAD 175,950–219,938 per year and full medical, dental, and vision coverage.
