Description
Microsoft’s Core AI Observability group is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, delivery, and operational excellence of large-scale AI services and platforms. The role owns architecture and implementation, partners with product and engineering teams, engages with customers, drives technical leadership and engineering excellence, and mentors engineers. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least 8 years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 12+ years of technical engineering experience, experience with highly available cloud services and distributed systems, and experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence systems. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 165,600–296,400 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
