M&S is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Customer Platform team to lead the modernisation of mission-critical warehouse systems. The role combines technical leadership, strategic technology and product investment, architecture and design, DevOps, security, reliability, performance engineering, and mentorship of senior engineers. It requires expertise in cloud computing, Kubernetes, observability, testing, and a broad technology stack including Java, Spring, React, Azure, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
