Blue Origin is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to set the technical direction for its agentic AI platform, including the lakehouse, knowledge graph, retrieval systems, and natural-language interfaces. The role owns architecture and roadmap, writes production code, designs reusable APIs and MCPs, establishes AI evaluation and observability, and mentors senior and mid-level engineers. Candidates need 10+ years of production software experience, 7+ years of cross-team architecture or technical leadership, and end-to-end experience with LLM, RAG, or agentic AI systems, enterprise data platforms, full-stack Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD. The Washington base-pay range is $230,773.00 to $323,081.85, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, and other benefits.
