Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of distributed data infrastructure, APIs, and personalization pipelines for Copilot. The role focuses on scalable, low-latency systems, real-time and batch personalization engines, data models, privacy and security, performance, reliability, and cost optimization. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least 8 years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience, along with strong backend, distributed systems, and applied AI capabilities.
