Fidelity is hiring a Principal Software Engineer/Developer to design and develop mainframe applications using COBOL, implement production changes, analyze defects and incidents, and deliver complex software solutions for financial services. The role includes application architecture, testing, documentation, project planning, risk management, business-unit liaison work, technical strategy advice, and mentoring. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience, or a master’s degree plus three years of experience, in designing, developing, and testing batch and online applications in a financial services environment. The position requires expertise with mainframe systems, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and related IBM tools, and Fidelity does not provide immigration sponsorship.
