Description
The Principal Software Engineer - Full Stack - Java, AVP will provide senior technical leadership across UI and backend components for Charles River’s UI Framework team. The role leads full-stack architecture and implementation, collaborates with business analysts and product managers, troubleshoots escalated issues, reviews code, mentors engineers, drives test automation and continuous improvement, and participates in agile development. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, at least 12 years of professional software development experience, strong React and Java experience, distributed-systems experience, and familiarity with AI tools; C# and financial-services experience are advantageous. The role is an individual contributor and is associated with State Street’s Charles River Investment management platform.
