Description
Microsoft is hiring an experienced engineer to lead the design and development of large-scale distributed systems for Microsoft 365 Storage Fabric, focusing on resource allocation, workload execution, service protection, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. The role involves building signal-driven automation, optimizing infrastructure and customer experience, preventing service disruptions, partnering with engineering teams, influencing architecture and engineering practices, and mentoring engineers. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is also accepted. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, eight or more years of experience, and expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, telemetry, AI-assisted engineering, and large-scale backend services.
