Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for Work IQ, the Microsoft 365 Copilot workplace intelligence platform. The role owns the design and development of Work IQ’s REST and A2A APIs, MCP infrastructure, retrieval and orchestration services, and developer tooling, while setting technical standards, improving reliability and performance, and collaborating across teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is also accepted. Microsoft Cloud background screening is required, and the role remains open for at least five days with applications accepted until filled.
