RTX BBN Technologies is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for its Physical Sciences & Systems business unit in Middletown, Rhode Island. The onsite role focuses on Linux and VxWorks real-time embedded software development across heterogeneous multi-processor and FPGA systems, integration with custom hardware, control, detection, and tracking algorithms, and deployment preparation. The position requires an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance, U.S. citizenship, at least eight years of high-performance software experience, and experience with embedded real-time operating systems and complex hardware-software integration. It includes mentoring, proposal and design-review contributions, up to 15% travel, and a salary range of 107,500 USD to 204,500 USD.
