Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the OCI Search Service using OpenSearch. The individual-contributor role owns complex distributed-systems architecture, service excellence, release planning, production readiness, observability, scalability, security, and operational automation. Responsibilities include developing secure features and fixes, improving build and test systems, troubleshooting distributed-network and service issues, leading cross-team middleware evolution, mentoring engineers, and participating in on-call rotation. The role requires a technical bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience, 10+ years in software engineering or infrastructure, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch experience, distributed-systems expertise, and proficiency in Java and Python. The US hiring range is $104,500 to $234,600 per annum, with medical, dental, and vision insurance among the benefits.
