Red Hat is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to architect, design, develop, test, and document features for running Microsoft Windows as a guest operating system on OpenShift Virtualization. The role focuses on Windows performance, stability, interoperability, complex troubleshooting, technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with upstream communities such as Kubernetes, KubeVirt, and QEMU. Candidates should have hands-on Windows experience, PowerShell and WinRM skills, deep debugging and root-cause analysis ability, and at least five years of IT professional experience.
