Description
Microsoft’s Windows Servicing and Delivery Update Platform team is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to extend and modify the Windows Update Platform, develop update-stack features, debug and fix customer-reported issues, and improve reliability and security for billions of Windows devices. The role provides technical leadership, oversees engineering deliverables, collaborates with global partner teams, and mentors engineers. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is also accepted. Preferred qualifications include extensive production software experience, OS internals and system programming, Windows system-level programming, and experience with distributed teams and Agile methodologies.
