Saildrone is hiring a Principal Engineer, Perception to define the architecture and technical direction of perception systems for autonomous maritime vehicles. The role leads complex sensor fusion, probabilistic estimation, localization, tracking, mapping, uncertainty modeling, and production software, translating research and algorithms into reliable systems while providing technical direction to senior and staff engineers. Candidates need deep expertise in perception and robotics, autonomous-systems architecture, and a record of deploying sophisticated algorithms in production.
