Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer - Performance to lead technical direction and hands-on implementation across AI frameworks, performance engineering, benchmarking, tooling, compilers, runtimes, systems, services, and silicon. The role establishes architecture and roadmaps, aligns cross-team stakeholders, mentors engineers, and drives improvements in model onboarding velocity, runtime performance, reliability, hardware utilization, and Azure capacity efficiency.
