Rocket Lab is hiring a Principal Software Engineer – TS/SCI to serve as Chief Software Engineer for a major constellation program. The role leads software architecture and development for flight and ground systems, including RTOS and embedded Linux software, hardware drivers, ground platforms, testing, on-orbit operations, and technical leadership. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, at least 12 years of professional software development experience, expertise in aerospace or defense software systems, C/C++ and Python skills, and an active TS/SCI clearance. The position is based in Littleton, Colorado, with a base salary of $150,000–$200,000 USD and medical, dental, and vision insurance.
