Microsoft is hiring a Principal Engineering Manager to lead a team building critical Azure Local capabilities. The role owns technical direction, engineering execution, architecture, complex initiatives, operational readiness, and people leadership, while partnering with product, engineering, customers, and geographically distributed stakeholders. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, 15+ years of technical engineering experience, 12+ years in commercial software development, and 3+ years managing engineering teams, along with experience in distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, containers, Azure, and site reliability engineering.
