Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building autonomous operational capabilities for COSMIC, Microsoft’s Kubernetes-based compute fabric. The role owns the technical strategy and platform foundations for agentic infrastructure, intelligent operational systems, and learning capabilities that enable AI agents to coordinate and safely execute deployment, capacity, resiliency, recovery, and optimization workflows across large fleets. The manager will also drive evaluation and learning systems, operational effectiveness metrics, engineering excellence, team culture, and stakeholder communication. The position is based at Microsoft’s Redmond, Washington campus with three days per week in the office and two days per week from home.
