Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineering Manager for its Windows & Devices Silicon and Fundamentals Team. The role owns people, technology, and delivery across AI, silicon, and software teams; sets technical direction; leads engineering practices; supports complex diagnostics; and champions AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows. It requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, at least 12 years of AI/ML software or systems engineering experience, and 4+ years of people management experience, along with strong Windows ML, DirectML, ONNX Runtime, and on-device AI expertise.
