Trident Systems is hiring a Principal Software Systems Engineer (Embedded Flight Systems) in Fairfax, Virginia. The role bridges systems and software engineering for flight and flight-like environments, defining requirements, architectures, interfaces, verification strategies, and technical plans; developing and integrating embedded flight software; supporting hardware/software integration and troubleshooting; and leading agile software development for mission-critical teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or systems field and at least nine years of experience in software systems engineering, embedded software, avionics, flight systems, or related aerospace or defense development. The full-time salary range is $119,000 to $190,000, with health, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
