LinkedIn is hiring a Principal Staff Software Engineer for its Physical Infrastructure organization to define the architecture and technical strategy for software platforms that plan, build, allocate, and manage global physical infrastructure. The role leads end-to-end solutions across capacity forecasting, infrastructure planning, procurement, construction, hardware delivery, resource allocation, provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management; establishes durable platform contracts and APIs; simplifies fragmented workflows; improves reliability and operational safety; and mentors engineers while contributing to critical designs. The position is hybrid, requires 10+ years of software and distributed-systems experience, and offers a base salary of $231,000–$378,000 plus potential bonus, stock, and benefits.
