Description

Jabil is hiring a Principal Structural Engineer for its Data Center Infrastructure team to design and analyze structural systems for data center products and manufacturing facilities. The role covers gravity, wind, seismic, vibration, and equipment-support analysis; factory integration; BIM coordination; fabrication review; and technical leadership, including mentoring and design reviews. It is available remotely or in Austin, Texas, with up to 30% travel, and requires a structural or civil engineering degree, 8+ years of progressive experience, and a Professional Engineer license. The pay range is $132,400 to $238,400, with medical, dental, and vision insurance and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership of complex structural systems in high-availability industrial or mission-critical facilities
Experience producing stamped engineering packages, reviewing vendor calculations, and managing AHJ coordination
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with modular construction, prefabricated data center infrastructure, or factory-built assemblies
Familiarity with hyperscale or colocation data center programs and platform-based delivery models
Master's degree
Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows, clash detection tools, and LOD standards
