Description
EXP is hiring a Principal Surveyor for its Chicago office to support infrastructure and transportation projects, including highway, bridge, railway, airport, building, and water-resources work. The role performs and documents traditional, GPS, and HDS surveys; prepares plats, legal descriptions, and property research; runs or assists survey crews; performs construction engineering activities; and may participate in business development and training. The position requires an Illinois Professional Land Surveyor license, extensive surveying experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Microstation/Geopak, and robotics, GPS, total station, and HDS LiDAR equipment. It is primarily remote with field work as needed, offers $100,000 to $150,000, and includes health insurance, vacation time, and a 401(k).
