Description
Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Architect for its Capacity Infrastructure Services organization to use AI and Copilot to evolve platforms and tools that expand Azure to new locations. The role guides stakeholders and virtual teams, develops design documents, optimizes and refactors code, coordinates project and release plans, monitors system health, and leads product development and scaling. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least six years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; equivalent experience is also accepted. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, additional years of experience, distributed systems expertise, and cloud infrastructure experience. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 142,800 to USD 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
