BAE Systems is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer at Portsmouth Naval Base to lead and manage ongoing naval systems engineering workstreams, including design change management, platform technical assurance, material state management, obsolescence management, specialist engineering support, and future support and transformation planning. The role provides technical leadership, governs MBSE and systems architecture, manages requirements and interfaces, supports integration and verification, and mentors engineers. It requires proven lifecycle systems engineering experience, MBSE and requirements-management toolset capability, STEM or systems-related degree-level qualification, and progress toward CEng or equivalent capability. The position offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements and pays up to £57,000 depending on skills and experience.
