Description
Oracle is hiring an embedded security engineer to perform authorized security assessments of embedded, IoT, and hardware-based products; reverse engineer firmware, binaries, bootloaders, protocols, and device interfaces; analyze hardware and wireless systems; identify vulnerabilities and insecure design patterns; develop proof-of-concept demonstrations and remediation guidance; automate security testing; and collaborate with engineering, product, security, silicon, and vendor teams. The role also involves mentoring engineers, participating in design reviews, and establishing standards for production-grade firmware. Preferred qualifications include embedded security, hardware hacking, firmware analysis, reverse engineering, penetration testing, vulnerability research, C programming, kernel-level debugging, Unix/Linux kernel development, security technologies, hardware interfaces, and knowledge of ARM, Intel, and AMD platforms.
