Coherent Corp. is hiring an Optical Transceiver Systems Engineer to lead technical engagement with Microsoft architecture, networking, qualification, and sourcing teams. The role owns firmware and system integration issues, CMIS interpretation, power and thermal trade-offs, optical performance, telemetry, and manufacturing problems; coordinates interoperability blockers with switch, NIC, and system vendors; and provides executive updates and risk registers. The position requires a B.S. or M.S. in a relevant engineering or physics field, seven years of experience in technical marketing, customer engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management for optical transceivers, networking, or datacenter hardware, and strong optical qualification and systems-engineering expertise. It is on-site or hybrid, may require travel to Asia and occasional customer or vendor meetings, and involves computer and test-equipment work.
