Microsoft is hiring a Principal Web Technology Lead to define and govern the web technology ecosystem powering commercial web experiences. The role owns web technology strategy, tagging, metadata, taxonomy, measurement standards, platform boundaries, capability management, instrumentation, and cross-organizational coordination across business, platform, analytics, and engineering teams. It does not own data engineering, analytics, or reporting delivery. The position requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development experience, plus 3+ years managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
