Description
Impulse Space is hiring a Principal Weld Engineer to develop, qualify, optimize, and support production welding processes for spacecraft and rocket-engine structures and components, including Helios tanks, Deneb engine weldments, and Mira components. The role works with design, manufacturing, tooling, automation, materials, and NDE engineers; supports full-scale manufacturing; develops automated welding solutions; interprets mechanical and nondestructive evaluation results; and performs root-cause analysis. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of hands-on welded-assembly fabrication, manufacturing, or testing experience, with preferred advanced welding expertise across multiple alloys and processes.
