Description
The Privacy Program Specialist, Consultant oversees Blue Shield’s compliance with state and federal privacy laws, leads privacy investigations and root-cause analyses, documents cases, coordinates corrective actions, advises internal clients, responds to privacy inquiries, supports privacy training and policies, and liaises with regulatory agencies. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or GED plus four years of additional relevant experience, seven years of prior relevant experience, healthcare privacy or related investigative experience, knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, CMIA, and other privacy laws, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. It is a hybrid role requiring in-office work two days per week.
