Description
The Probation Support Technician works directly with United States Probation Officers in pretrial and post-conviction units. Responsibilities include investigating collateral information, retrieving and verifying criminal and social-history records, transferring files, entering data into the PACTS case-tracking system, processing correspondence, and screening phone calls. Applicants must clear a federal background investigation and financial check, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have general clerical, office, or equivalent experience; college education of at least two semesters may substitute for experience. The role requires strong computer, communication, multitasking, confidentiality, and work-ethics skills.
