Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Process Engineer in Tempe Spares Manufacturing, Arizona, to design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. The role involves process experiments, hardware characterization, root-cause troubleshooting, film-property measurement, technical documentation, customer support, vendor coordination, and implementation of new technologies. Candidates need a master’s or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field, along with knowledge of material properties, failure analysis, and analytical instrumentation; experience in ceramic manufacturing, process engineering, R&D, thin-film deposition, statistical process control, or data analysis is preferred. The position includes night-shift production work, customer support across multiple global regions, and approximately 10% travel.
