Lam Research is hiring a Metrology Engineer focused on topography and material property characterization, with opportunities to expand into additional metrology disciplines. The role owns application and metrology solution development for techniques including AFM, nanoindentation, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and optical coupling measurements, while supporting advanced process research and development. Responsibilities include application support, metrology solution delivery, technical subject-matter expertise, vendor engagement, and innovation across characterization challenges. The role requires a master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience, at least two years of hands-on advanced metrology experience, technical depth in application and solution development, vendor-management experience, and strong program and project management skills. The position offers hybrid work models combining on-site collaboration with remote work.
