Description

Lam Research is hiring a Process Engineer for its Etch Product Group to develop and evaluate semiconductor etch and deposition processes, improve yields and production costs, analyze test data, support product development and customer demonstrations, and guide process technicians. The role requires a master’s degree in a relevant field with at least three years of experience, or a PhD with no prior professional experience, and offers hybrid work arrangements. The San Francisco Bay Area salary range is $104,000 to $192,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experience.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications: Laboratory and semiconductor equipment experience, including surface preparation and analytical techniques
In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control and/or Design of Experiments
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or a similar scientific computing language
Statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies
Experience with statistical tools such as JMP or Minitab
Background in ALD, CVD, PECVD, or PVD
Background in plasma physics and semiconductor deposition or etching technologies
Knowledge of material synthesis and characterization
Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, semiconductor customers, and partners
