Description

Lam Research is hiring a Process Engineer 5/KAT to develop advanced semiconductor process formulations, define equipment hardware, evaluate test data, coordinate processing requirements, support customer demonstrations and technology adoption, and lead process technicians. The role requires a master’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience or a PhD with 5+ years of experience, along with semiconductor process, materials, statistical analysis, and experimental-design expertise. The position may follow an on-site flex or virtual flex hybrid model.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field; or a PhD with equivalent experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of experience for master’s-degree candidates
5+ years of experience for PhD candidates
Experience in semiconductor process design, deposition, etch dielectrics, conductors, or metal films
Experience in collaborative, matrixed environments with diverse teams, customers, or partners
Experience with statistical tools such as JMP or Minitab
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to travel to and work effectively at customer sites
Fluency in at least two languages
Background in advanced packaging, WLP, TSV, ECD, CVD, and PECVD
In-depth understanding of SPC and/or DOE
Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies
Knowledge of material synthesis and characterization
