SMS group is hiring a Process Engineer & Digital Application Engineer to support customers with electric, automation, and digital products from commissioning through optimization and upgrades. The field-based role involves process-model tuning, troubleshooting, digital application deployment, data integration, AI/ML analytics, modernization projects, customer workshops, and technical training. It requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 2–5+ years of experience in industrial process engineering, automation, or digital applications; steel or metals industry experience is advantageous. The role includes significant travel across the Americas and a combination of on-site, office, and remote work depending on the project phase.
