Description
The Gauge & Process Capability Engineer owns plant gauge and CMM connectivity, measurement-data integrity, process-capability analytics, operator qualification, gauge serialization, and sustainable capability governance. The role converts fragmented manual activities into reliable leading indicators that improve FTT/RTY, PPMs, pulls, warranty performance, containment, and problem-solving response, while preserving critical measurement skills across the plant. Responsibilities include assessing gauge benches and CMMs, reconciling quality-data systems, establishing capability monitoring, standardizing out-of-tolerance and quarantine processes, training operators, deploying quality dashboards and audits, and partnering with cross-functional teams. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of manufacturing experience, and offers salary grades 6, 7, or 8 ranging from $72,480 to $162,120.
